The Sony FX3 Full Frame Cinema Camera Kit is a compact professional cinema camera designed for filmmakers, cinematographers and production teams who need exceptional image quality and flexible shooting options.
As part of Sony’s Cinema Line, the FX3 combines a full-frame sensor with advanced autofocus, professional video recording and impressive low-light performance. Its lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for commercial productions, documentaries, music videos and branded content.
The Sony FX3 features a 10.2MP effective full-frame sensor for video, paired with the powerful BIONZ XR image processor. Together, they deliver detailed 4K footage with natural colours and excellent dynamic range.
The camera supports 4K recording at up to 120fps, making it ideal for capturing smooth slow-motion sequences. In addition, internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording provides greater flexibility during editing and colour grading.
With S-Cinetone and S-Log3 recording options, filmmakers can achieve cinematic results while maintaining creative control over their footage.
The Sony FX3 is designed to perform in challenging lighting conditions.
Its back-illuminated full-frame sensor offers excellent light sensitivity, allowing filmmakers to capture clean footage with reduced noise. Furthermore, the camera features a dual base ISO of 800 and 12,800 when shooting in S-Log3.
As a result, the FX3 is particularly useful for night scenes, atmospheric interiors, events and productions with limited lighting.
The Sony FX3 features advanced Fast Hybrid Autofocus with 627 phase-detection points during video recording.
Real-time Eye AF and subject tracking help maintain accurate focus when filming people or moving subjects.
Consequently, filmmakers can work confidently during interviews, handheld shooting and fast-paced productions.
Despite its professional cinema capabilities, the Sony FX3 features a compact and lightweight body.
Its built-in mounting points allow filmmakers to attach compatible accessories without always needing a camera cage. Meanwhile, its active cooling system supports extended recording sessions.
The camera also features 5-axis in-body image stabilisation and Active Mode for smoother handheld footage.
The Sony FX3 supports professional audio recording through its compatible XLR handle unit.
When fitted with the handle, filmmakers can connect professional microphones using XLR inputs for high-quality sound capture.
In addition, the camera includes a full-size HDMI output, dual memory card slots and flexible recording formats for professional production workflows.
The Sony FX3 Full Frame Cinema Camera Kit is an excellent choice for filmmakers, production companies and content creators looking for professional cinema performance in a compact camera body.
From commercial productions and documentaries to music videos, interviews and branded content, the FX3 delivers the image quality and flexibility needed for demanding shoots.
